Mission Statement

The mission of St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church is to:

  • connect deeply with God through Jesus Christ
  • celebrate the attributes of all generations
  • build stronger community among ourselves and our neighbors
  • serve God by serving those in need and welcoming all

Church Purpose

The purpose of St. Mary Magdalene Episcopal Church is to bring people into a growing, transforming relationship with God by serving our community and living and sharing the Gospel of Jesus Christ.

We are Christians who love the Episcopal/Anglican faith tradition and use it to let ourselves be transformed by the actions and teachings of Jesus Christ. Worshipping God is at the heart of what we do and we enjoy gathering for Christian formation, outreach/service projects and fun activities throughout the year.

At the core of this mission are four values:

  1. Never put a limit on God's plan
  2. A growing relationship with God transforms lives
  3. Christians have Good News to share through love and liturgy
  4. God's grace is available to everyone and sufficient for every need

St. Mary Magdalene is an Episcopal church, a tradition rich in history with a message for this generation. We are part of the Diocese of Southern Ohio, and our bishop is the Rt. Rev. Thomas E. Breidenthal.

In a larger sense, we are part of the Anglican Communion, a global community with more than 70 million members. Anglicans Online.

Our faith is rooted and guided by Scripture, tradition and reason. We believe the church is big enough for a diversity of views and people and encourage discussion and exploration of God’s word.
